One record from the counter to the final payment

A UGX 650,000 phone with a UGX 150,000 deposit leaves UGX 500,000 to collect over the agreed weeks (example figures, not RecTym prices). Each mobile money payment should reduce that balance on the right account. During a demo, test a partial payment, a payment sent to the wrong merchant code and a corrected receipt.

Two mobile money networks, one ledger

Many shops accept both MTN MoMo and Airtel Money. Keep one installment record per customer, whichever network the payment came from, and note the transaction ID for every confirmed payment.

Consent and data protection

Explain the installment terms and device management before enrollment and keep the signed agreement. Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 applies to customer data. Take legal advice on your own model.
