The Cost Question

Phone Financing Software: Is It Worth the Cost?

Every other page on this site covers what the software does. This one is about the number that actually decides whether to adopt it: what it costs per device, and what you get back for it.

Most shops evaluating phone financing software get stuck on features before they've worked out the economics. Here's the actual math: what it costs per device, what a single recovered device is worth, and how few recoveries it takes to justify the cost.

Device Credits, Not a Subscription

Rectym is bought as one-time credits per device — Rs. 1,100 for Android, Rs. 2,100 for iOS — not a recurring monthly fee.

Credits Never Expire

A credit bought today can enroll a device sold months from now — no use-it-or-lose-it pressure.

Estimate Your Break-Even

Compare the cost of all enrolled devices with the additional repayments you actually collect.

Cost Scales With Volume

A 20-device shop and a 2,000-device distributor both pay per device — no tier that penalizes growth.

An Illustrative Cost Calculation

For illustration, enrolling 20 Android devices at the published rate of Rs. 1,100 costs Rs. 22,000 before any applicable adjustments. Your additional repayments attributable to the software would need to exceed that cost, plus operating costs, to deliver a positive return. A financed phone worth Rs. 15,000 is not automatically Rs. 15,000 of recovered revenue: use the outstanding balance and actual additional repayments. This example is not a recovery forecast; confirm currency, taxes and volume pricing with the team.

Common Questions

Is this a monthly subscription?expand_more
No — pricing is per-device credits, bought once per device enrolled, with no recurring monthly or annual fee on top.
Do unused credits expire?expand_more
No — device credits don't expire, so buying a batch ahead of a busy sales period doesn't create pressure to use them by a deadline.
How does pricing work for a distributor with hundreds of devices?expand_more
Distributors and NBFCs use device credits too. Contact the team for volume pricing based on your enrollment needs.
What's a realistic break-even point?expand_more
Break-even depends on enrollment costs, outstanding balances, operating costs and the additional repayments attributable to the software. Compare those figures across your whole portfolio rather than assuming one recovered phone pays for every enrollment.
