Does it work if the customer flashes the phone?expand_more
Yes. Our Flash Protection technology works at a hardware level, meaning the device remains enrolled even after a firmware flash. This is one of our key differentiators.
What if the customer removes or changes their SIM?expand_more
The lock is device-level, not SIM-level. Changing or removing the SIM card has no effect on the device's locked state.
Is the customer's personal data safe?expand_more
Absolutely. We only manage device-level policies — we cannot access photos, messages, or personal data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How do I enroll a device?expand_more
Open your Rectym dashboard, select "Enroll Device," and scan the QR code shown on-screen with the new device's camera. The entire process takes under 30 seconds.
Can the customer bypass the lock?expand_more
Our protection is extremely robust. Factory resets, firmware flashing, and SIM changes will not remove the enrollment. Our security is rated at 99% tamper-resistance.
What happens at the end of the loan?expand_more
Once all EMIs are paid, you mark the loan as complete in the dashboard and the device is permanently freed. The device unenrolls automatically.
Can I set the grace period before auto-lock?expand_more
Yes. You can configure custom grace periods (e.g., 3, 7, or 14 days overdue) before the system auto-locks or before you receive an alert to manually lock.
